Order of makeup application

 

Here’s the step-by-step order of makeup application so it looks smooth and long-lasting:


Skin Prep (Very Important)

  1. Cleanser – Wash face to remove dirt/oil.
  2. Moisturizer – Hydrate skin (choose according to skin type).
  3. Sunscreen (Daytime) – Always apply SPF before makeup.
  4. Primer – Smooths skin & helps makeup last longer.

Face Makeup

  1. Foundation – Even out skin tone.
  2. Concealer – Brighten under eyes, cover blemishes/dark spots.
  3. Setting Powder – Lock foundation & concealer, reduce shine.
  4. Contour/Bronzer – Add definition to cheekbones, jawline, nose.
  5. Blush – Apply to cheeks for healthy flush.
  6. Highlighter – On high points (cheekbones, nose bridge, brow bone).

Eye Makeup

  1. Eyebrows – Fill/shape with pencil, powder, or gel.
  2. Eyeshadow – Start with transition shade → crease → lid → highlight inner corner.
  3. Eyeliner – Line upper/lower lash line.
  4. Mascara – Curl lashes and apply.
  5. (Optional) False lashes.

Lips
