Detox with Lemon

The Detox diet has become popular because of the benefits offered by it to us. Nowadays, people have become cautious with their health. Both men and women pay serious attention to maintaining their body weight at an optimal level to the best of their ability. We look for different dietary plans and exercises that help us reduce the excess body fat. We do all this to keep ourselves healthy and fit. One of the dietary plans that have shown effective results in reducing excess body weight is the body Detox diet. It is part of my daily routine to start off by consuming a 16 ounce glass of purified water with the juice of half an organic lemon squeezed into it.

Lemon water is perhaps the best fruit juice for any detox cleansing diet or indeed weight loss diet. Making the lemon drink is really simple and requires only two ingredients, lemon and water; you may add sugar or honey to taste. Simply add a half a cup of water to half a cup of lemon juice and the drink is ready.

Ingredients for the Lemon Detox Drink

2 Tablespoons Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup Grade B
1/10th Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
8 fl Oz's Pure Water

Mix all of the ingredients together in a glass and enjoy! Initially you may find the cayenne pepper a little hot, especially if you are not used to spicy food but this is something that you also become accustomed to very quickly.

Many underestimate the ability of the lemon detox to support healthy digestion and elimination. Some herbalists and nutritionists suspect that it's the tart taste of lemon that promotes bile flow to aid in the digestive process. The peels of both lemons and limes also act as an antioxidant thought to support detoxification. Easy ways to incorporate this citrusy treat: Add some fresh-squeezed lemon juice to water or throw in some zest to your cooking. You could probably sneak in a few fresh-squeezed lemons a day.
