Detox with Garlic

A detox plan can take several forms. Some last a few days; others a longer period. With modern living, everyone ingests various toxins in their food. Depending on where you live, there will be some degree of pollution in the air we breathe and the water we drink. Just take a look at what happened if you take a garlic detox.
Garlic is probably one of the most widely used herbs in the entire world.  Cultures all over the world have used garlic since the beginning of time.  Even the Bible mentions it as one of the foods the Israelites craved when they were in the wilderness.  Because it is so popular, many do not realize how powerful it is in the health and wellbeing of the human body.  Some cringe at its odor, while others reek of it unconsciously.

Garlic is very useful when doing a detox diet.  It has many characteristics that lend it to cleansing the body.  Garlic has been used effectively against a whole host of bacteria, fungus, and viruses.  Here is a list of the reasons garlic is a good item to add to your detox program:
  •     fights against E Coli and Staphylococcus bacteria
  •     detoxifies all body systems
  •     emulsifies and loosens plaque from arteries
  •     kills and expels parasites
  •     contains germanium which is a strong anticancer mineral
  •     used as an enema, it pulls mucus from the body
You have heard about how garlic boosts immunity and protects the heart, but its sulfur-containing compounds also play a role in supporting detoxification. Your liver is usually in charge of neutralizing toxins with sulfur until it's excreted (in a process called sulfation). Adding more sulfur-rich foods like garlic to your diet will enhance this process. Aim for two to three cloves per meal. And remember to carry gum.
