How Do I Figure Out My Bra Size?

Finding the right fit for a bra can be a real challenge. Numerous studies have shown most women get the process wrong. There are many factors to getting the perfect fit with a bra. Figuring out your size is the first place to start.
To measure yourself for a bra, you need measuring tape and a mirror. You can do without the mirror, but it can be a bit awkward. Measure yourself around your chest, just underneath your breasts. Take that number and add 5 inches -- that gives you your band size. If the total number is an odd number, round up to the next even number. For instance, if your under-breast measurement is 32, you add 5 inches, making it 37, then round up to the next even number, which makes it a 38. Next measure around the biggest part of your breasts, usually over the nipple line. Here’s where the mirror comes in handy; you can use it to make sure that the tape measure stays level all the way around from front to back and around again to meet in front. To find your cup size, subtract your band measurement from your bust measurement.

Before we go through how to figure out your bra size, you need to realize that this is not something you do once. Your body changes continually. Your breasts are no different. You should resize your breast once a year. You will probably be shocked the first few times when you realize how much change is occurring. In fact, there are 4 ways to measure your bra size.

Once you know how to properly do this, then you can find the perfect bra size for your breasts. The band will no longer dig into your ribs and your breasts will fit better into the cups. Wearing your favorite bra style will no longer be a problem. In addition, your figure will be improved with the proper brassiere size.
